Sorcerer's Apprentice Review by DC Tauntaun

Saw director Jon Turteltaub and actor Nicolas Cage's names and immediately figured I was in for some cheesy fun. Sure enough, it followed a very common storyline that you have seen before, but with Turteltaub's touch, there is enough levity to keep it moving and enough action to make you forget about the many flaws. Falling in a realm better than Percy Jackson, yet well below National Treasure, we have enjoyable summer entertainment. Jay Baruchel follows up his fabulous role in How to Train Your Dragon, to play a very nerdy apprentice that may have played the nerdy role too well to be believable. Believable in the fact that no way does his character take down the nastiest sorceress in history. That's okay though. It's still fun as he manages to make Physics almost seem fun. Don't expect the world from this one, but needing a low key fantasy film to stave off the summer heat? Check it out.
