Julia and Julia Review by DC Tauntaun

It is difficult to critique a movie that has absolutely zero interest to me. Unfair in a sense since my mind isn't going to understand it's value. Fortunately though for it's sake, it was well done enough from a filmakers standpoint. In a positive note, it is a rare film where both husband and wife remain positive to each other with grand support throughout. It was nice to see them pulling for each other the whole time. The first 60 minutes was creatively interesting. The final 30 minutes was an acceptable wrapup. The middle dragged. Some parts made me curious to even why it was in the film. The actors were solid and the dialogue worked. They managed to make a 2 hour cooking class entertaining enough to stay in the auditorium. There will be a large part of the population that are going to really enjoy this film though. It speaks to the heart in many ways, and there will be moments that relate personally to many. Ultimately, for me, I chalk it up as a well done film that will have it's audience. I'm just not interested.
