Iron Man 2 review by DC Tauntaun

I am a big fan of the original Iron Man, so I did have some vested interest going into this one. It is tough to match an original that good. Expectations may be what keeps this one from being put in the same category as the first, but for a follow up, they did a pretty good job. The storyline plays like the old Christopher Reeve Superman 2. Tony Stark becomes very vulnerable and deals with life from a very fragile side for him. Fans may find the "less action driven" storyline to be a fault, but I rather enjoyed the character focused hour in the middle. It certainly picks up a lot of steam by the end and fans of the "Whiplash" character in the comics will like Mickey Rourke's portrayel. It does lack the "re-watch" value that the first kept bringing the same people back over and over for, but by no means should a fan of the first film put off seeing this entertaining film that continues the Tony Stark legacy. And of course, true fans need to sit all the way through the credits.
