Once I got through the cheesy, campy romance in the first hour, I was fine the rest of the way. The first hour was filled with dialogue so awful that I was shaking my head instead of getting lost in the movie. About an hour into it though, the action sequences gave the story something to get excited about. There were some pretty cool scenes there towards the end. The story has an interesting premise and one that I looked forward to seeing. It's just unfortunate that poor screenwriters have this kind of access to films. I haven't read any of the books, so I have nothing to compare it to. This film caters directly to the teens who I am guessing will enjoy it quite a bit.
