The first half of the film is quite intriguing. Starts out strong and appealing. Somwhere along the way it loses it's way and rambles all over the place. Although not enough to keep me from overall enjoying the film, it is best to keep in mind that the film is flawed. That way one can walk away from it being pleased with a rare childrens science fiction film. Based on a childrens book, it has a strong message. The movie portrays it well. This is one I believe my 5 year old is going to really enjoy.
