Sometimes filmmakers just sit down and say, "lets make a dramatic, dreary, depressing movie about ants that swirl around in the toilet bowl until eventually they go down. Of course we will show some of them coming out somewhere else, but not until the very, very end of this movie".
I personally think Tyler Perry is better with his dramatic films, but to be honest, I have never thought one good enough to buy one. This one has some decent acting, and dramatic story lines, but it really isn't one I am going to tell people to go see. Also, it isn't sappy drama as much as it is depressing.
